About

Angel0x1 is a private journal with an on-device AI that reads your entries back to you. It is built by a small independent team in the United States. It is not backed by an advertising business, so it has no reason to collect anything it does not need.

Why it exists

Most journaling apps are a text box with a date on it. Most AI chat apps forget you between sessions and answer from general knowledge about people rather than knowledge about you. Angel0x1 sits in the gap: it keeps every entry, reads across months of them, and tells you what it noticed.

Day one it knows nothing. By week six it can finish your sentence, because it has read what you wrote in March and has not forgotten it. That continuity is the product — the difference between a chat window and something that actually knows you.

How it is built

Everything runs locally. Retrieval over your entries, the reflections, the recurring-word counts, the trajectory projection and the voice transcription all execute on the phone. Entries are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and the key is held in your device keychain.

There is no account system and no server that can read your writing — not as a policy promise, but because the architecture never sends it anywhere. You also choose the model: Apple Intelligence works out of the box, and a local model hub lets you run Gemma, Qwen, Llama or Phi instead. None of them phone home.

What it is not

Angel0x1 is not a therapist, a crisis service, or a medical device. Its reflections are generated text about your own writing and should not be treated as professional advice. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.

It is also not a cloud product with an on-device mode. There is no cloud component to fall back to, which is the point.

Status

Angel0x1 is pre-launch on iOS. There is no App Store link yet and no published pricing beyond the launch offer: the first 1,000 people to reserve a spot receive 1 month free at launch. Progress is posted publicly as it is built — the accounts are linked from the home page.
