1 · Information we collect

We keep collection to a minimum. The only information we may receive is:

• Reservation email — if you reserve an early-access spot, the email address you submit. We send a one-time code to it to confirm the address is yours.
• A one-way hash of your IP address — when you reserve, we store a salted SHA-256 hash of your IP (never the IP itself) solely to prevent abuse and enforce fair per-network limits. It cannot be reversed back into your address.
• Anonymous usage analytics — only if you turn analytics on. These are coarse, content-free events (for example, which screens are opened), tied to a random per-install identifier, never to your identity.
• Purchase records — subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive only Apple’s aggregate, anonymous sales reports; we never see or store your name, card, or billing details.
• Basic diagnostics — if you contact us or if Apple shares crash reports you’ve opted into, we may receive standard technical information to fix problems.

We do not require an account, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking.

2 · Information that never leaves your device

Your journal entries, the app’s AI reflections, moods, embeddings, voice transcriptions, any Health data, and the on-device model of your patterns are encrypted on your device (AES-256-GCM) and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. The encryption key is stored in your device’s secure keychain. We operate no server that can read this content, and the on-device AI runs locally — your writing is not sent to a model in the cloud.

3 · How we use information

• Your waitlist email is used only to contact you about the launch and early access — nothing else.
• Anonymous analytics (if enabled) help us understand which features are useful and where the experience breaks, in aggregate.
• Purchase records from Apple are used to keep your Pro access working across your devices.

4 · How information is shared

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it for advertising. Limited processors act on our behalf: Apple handles payments and app delivery; our email and hosting providers store your waitlist email so we can reach you. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Angel0x1.

5 · Data storage & security

On-device content is encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key held in your device keychain. Your waitlist email is stored with a reputable hosting provider using encryption in transit and at rest. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we design to collect little, so there is very little for anyone — including us — to lose.

6 · Your rights & choices

• Your journal: delete any entry, or use “erase everything” in the app for a cryptographic wipe. Uninstalling removes all local data.
• Analytics: off by default — turn it on or off anytime in Settings.
• Waitlist email: ask us to access or delete it anytime by replying to any message from us or emailing privacy@angel0x1.com.
• Regional rights: depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the limited data we hold, and to lodge a complaint with your local authority. Contact us to exercise them; we don’t discriminate against you for doing so.

7 · Data retention

On-device content is kept until you delete it. A waitlist email is kept until the launch window closes or you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. Anonymous analytics are retained only in aggregate and cannot be traced back to you.

8 · Children

Angel0x1 is intended for people 17 and older and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9 · International users

Angel0x1 is available internationally. Because journal content stays on your device, it is not transferred across borders by us. Where limited data (a waitlist email) is processed, it may be handled by providers in other countries under appropriate safeguards.

10 · Changes to this policy

Angel0x1 is an app in active, early-stage development — features evolve quickly, and occasional rough edges or issues are expected as it matures. If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and, in the app, ask you to review it again. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
